Tickets for individual Lightning home games (excluding opening night) will go on sale at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Due to the high demand for season-ticket plans and mini-plans, no Plaza Level (100) or Club Level (200) seats are available for individual games. Terrace Level (300) seats will be available and are priced at $19, $44, $59 and $68 (excluding tax and surcharges). Plaza and Club Level seats for the 2005-06 season can still be secured through season-ticket plans and mini-plans.
Also, tickets for the three preseason home games will go on sale at 10 a.m. today.
Preseason and regular season individual game tickets can be purchased at the Box Office at the St. Pete Times Forum and all Ticketmaster outlets. To order tickets by telephone, call Ticketmaster at (727) 898-2100 or (813) 287-8844. Also, tickets can be bought online at tampabaylightning.com.
Meanwhile, 1,000 tickets remain for the opening night game on Oct. 5 against Carolina. Those tickets will be available through a lottery. One application per person is being accepted by phone at (813) 301-6600 or through e-mail at tampabaylightning.com, through Sept. 10. Winners will be notified by telephone or e-mail beginning Sept. 19.
NATIONAL SNUB: NBC announced its broadcast schedule for the NHL season and, apparently, the defending Stanley Cup champions warrant only one game.
Like ABC and Fox did in seasons past, NBC will show regional games for several weeks in the latter half of the season. Different parts of the country will see one of three games. NBC's plan is to show games on Jan. 14, Jan. 21, Jan. 28, Feb. 4, April 8 and April 14.
The only time the Lightning will appear is Jan. 28 at Philadelphia.
The Flyers, Rangers, Red Wings, Avalanche and Stars are scheduled to appear four times each. The Bruins and Penguins will be on three times each.
Outdoor Life Network, which will show 58 nationally televised games throughout the season, announced its schedule Wednesday.
OLN's schedule includes five Lightning games, all on the road: Nov. 15 at Washington, Nov. 22 at Philadelphia, Jan. 2 at the Islanders, Jan. 16 at San Jose and Feb. 6 at the Islanders.
Ten other teams will appear on OLN more than the Lightning. The Avalanche will be televised nine times. The Blues and Bruins will appear eight times each. The Stars, Red Wings, Rangers and Flyers will be on seven times. The Penguins, Capitals and Wild will have six appearances.
