NORTH WALES CHOIR: Cantorian Colin Jones and North Wales Male Chorus will perform at the Belleview Biltmore Resort & Spa, Tiffany Ballroom, at 7 tonight. The chorus is considered one of Wales' most prestigious male voice concert choirs. Tickets are $39. Proceeds benefit the American Red Cross disaster relief fund. Call 1-800-237-8947.

ORIGAMI WORKSHOP: Learn the basics of origami at a workshop with storyteller Kuniko Yamamoto, who uses origami to illustrate her Japanese folktales, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Tarpon Springs Heritage Museum, 100 Beekman Lane at Craig Park. Admission is $3.

COMEDY IMPROV: Comedy improv by Wild Rice will be Saturday at 8 p.m. Get ready for a wild night of comedy as the troupe improvises skits based on ideas from audience members. Since the skits are improvised, each show is different. General admission is $13; Center members or students, $11. Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S Pinellas Ave.

JAPANESE MAGIC: Japanese storytelling with magical mask, music and mime by Kuniko Yamamoto will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S Pinellas Ave. Yamamoto combines Japanese folktales with masks, pantomime, origami, stylized movement, traditional Japanese music and a touch of magic. Seating is reserved. General admission is $13; Center members or students, $11; children 12 and under, $8.

"SHOW BOAT': The Pinellas Opera League, in partnership with the Leepa Rattner Museum of Art, will show its monthly selection of DVDs and videos Sunday at the museum's video center, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs, on the St. Petersburg College campus. The DVD for this month is Show Boat, by Jerome Kern. The event is free and begins at 1:30 p.m. Call 726-6990.

PATSY CLINE TRIBUTE: Leanne Williams will re-create the slick, sentimental sounds of the legendary Patsy Cline at the James B. White Theater at Clearwater Central Catholic School, 2750 Haines Bayshore Road, Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18.50.

EXHIBIT: Artist James Sikes presents "A Landscape Journey - From Europe to Asia: A watermedia painting and collage exhibit" through September 22. Sikes, a self-taught watermedia painter and collagist, draws upon his travels and experiences in Asia for inspiration in creating both figurative and abstract works. Much of his work is derived from a strong attraction to traditional scenes and architecture found in old towns and rural areas, especially in Japan, where he lived. For this exhibit, Sikes will expand his geographical reach with a series of paintings and collages with European town and country themes. Exhibit hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 South Pinellas Ave.

AFRICAN-THEMED ART: The Plainsmen Gallery, 2450 Sunset Point Road, Suite A, Clearwater, will present "Fringes of Freedom: African Wildlife," featuring original oils by Grant Hacking, Matthew Hillier and Julia Rogers; canvas giclees by Al Agnew, Robert Bateman and Julia Rogers; and wildlife bronzes by Robert Deurloo and Jack Muir, today through Sept. 30.
