INVERNESS - A developer has proposed a 207-acre RV park 3 miles east of the city limits. The project would include 500 to 1,000 RVs, said Chuck Dixon, director of community development.
"It's the biggest one I've ever seen," he said. Inverness attorney John Eden owns the property, which is on the south side of State Road 44. On Sept. 1, Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. filed an application on behalf of Eden to amend the county's comprehensive plan and land development code to allow for the project. A Planning and Development Review Board workshop on the project is scheduled for Oct. 6.
