BANKING

Fifth Third Bank, Tampa, announces these appointments: Willis Chadwick "Chad" Loar, vice president, middle market relationship manager, commercial banking division; Jason D. Lloyd, vice president, middle market manager, commercial banking division; and Curtis Stokes, vice president, community affairs manager. All work at 4401 W Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa. Loar was assistant vice president and commercial relationship manager at SunTrust Bank, Tampa; Lloyd was senior vice president, middle market manager, at SunTrust Bank, Tampa Bay; and Stokes was vice president and client manager at Bank of America, Tampa.

Belinda S. Bishop has been named brownfields specialist in the civil and environmental division at TBE Group, Clearwater. Brownfields are environmentally distressed properties that require environmental restoration and economic revitalization. Bishop was an environmental engineer at Concurrent Technologies Corp., Largo.

Will Shahriari has been named managing director of Mesirow Financial's institutional fixed income sales/trading group in Tampa. Shahriari was senior vice president. Also, Shahriari has been named president of CFA Tampa Bay, the regional branch of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute in Charlottesville, Va.

HEALTH CARE

David S. Chernow has been named to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute's board of advisers. Chernow is president and chief executive of Junior Achievement Worldwide.

INSURANCE

Lesi Daniel has been named vice president of internal audit at First Advantage Corp., St. Petersburg. Daniel was director of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and financial reporting at Danka Office Imaging Inc., St. Petersburg.

LEGAL

Mitchell I. Horowitz has been named chairman of the Florida Bar Association's Tax Section. Horowitz is a shareholder, head of the tax practice group and chairman of the corporate group at the Tampa law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker.

Adam P. Schwartz has been appointed to vice chairman of the Florida Bar Statewide Advertising Grievance Committee. Schwartz is a shareholder and a member of the litigation and dispute resolution practice group at the law firm of Carlton Fields, Tampa.

Kirsten L. Vignec has been named a shareholder at the law firm of Ward Rovell, Tampa. Vignec was an associate and practices in the areas of employee benefits and executive compensation.

MAINTENANCE

Andrew F. Castro has been named West Florida branch manager at D&A Building Services Inc., Tampa. Castro was manager at Service Link of Florida LLC, Tampa.

NONPROFIT

Dr. Judi Vitucci has been named executive director of Healthy Start Coalition of Pinellas. Vitucci was administrative director in the medical affairs division at All Children's Hospital, St. Petersburg.

Suncoast Center for Community Mental Health Inc., St. Petersburg, announces that Maria Ochoa has been promoted to director of human resources; and Thomas Campbell has been named to the center's board of trustees. Ochoa was a human resources representative at Danka Corp., St. Petersburg; and Campbell is a financial adviser at Morgan Stanley in St. Petersburg.
