Stolen truck stopped; occupants flee

By Times Staff
Published September 13, 2005

WESLEY CHAPEL - A stolen truck drew a police helicopter, a tracking dog and sheriff's cruisers to neighborhoods around Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club on Sunday. Suspects seen fleeing the vehicle were still at large Monday.

The black Ford pickup truck vanished from an Ocala parking lot and was seen speeding through Sumter, Hernando and Pasco counties. When a state trooper pulled the truck over at the country club early Sunday, two men leaped from the cab and fled.

A search on the ground and in the air failed to find the men. They were last seen in the Angus Valley area. The highway patrol said it was focusing its search on Antonio Lee Jordan, 21, of Tampa.
