Nick Brothers guides Citrus to an eight-stroke win over Crystal River.

CRYSTAL RIVER - The Citrus boys continue to get excellent rounds from sophomore Nick Brothers.
On Tuesday, in a tri-match against Crystal River and Seven Rivers Christian, Brothers earned medalist honors with a round of 39 to lead the Hurricanes to the win at Southern Woods Golf Course.
It was yet another top performance from Brothers, who has averaged 41 in two victories over Citrus' archrival Lecanto this season.
"He's been playing very nice," Citrus coach Chris Richardson said. "He's doing a great job."
Citrus (8-1) finished at 163, eight strokes better than Crystal River. Seven Rivers Christian ended the day at 198.
Charlie Hendrick (40), freshman Bobby Bang (41) and Paul Jensen (43) also contributed to the Hurricanes' victory.
"The win was good and I was pleased with the play of my younger guys," Richardson said.
Crystal River (4-3) was led by No.6 player John Gusha and Michael Sanchez, who each carded 41. It was Gusha's best round ever.
"I thought we had our chances if we could have stayed away from the train wrecks," Pirates coach Jim Gabbard said. "But all things considered, I was pleased with the way we played."
Meanwhile, Seven Rivers (1-5) was led by Matt Rees, who shot 42. Seventh-grader Andrew Gage added 47.
"Our goal this season was to break 200 consistently," Warriors coach Aimee Kelso said. "Being a small school, I don't have the pool of athletes the others have, but I am really happy that we are breaking 200 and that we have two guys shooting under 50."
