College football

Got a minute? Lorenzo Booker, Jr. Tailback

By BRIAN LANDMAN, Times Staff Writer
Published September 15, 2005

In the spirit of this weekend's trip to Boston College, let's settle some pertinent debates about Boston. Ready? Red Sox or Yankees?

Yankees, just because they win and I'm used to winning.

Larry Bird or Magic Johnson?

Magic Johnson. In a heartbeat.

Key lime pie or Boston cream pie?

Key lime.

New England clam chowder or Manhattan clam chowder?

New England.

That'll play well in Boston.

Well, matter of fact, give me everything opposite. Manhattan. I don't even eat clam chowder, but I'll say Manhattan.

Doug Flutie's Hail Mary against Miami or Kordell Stewart's against Michigan?

I like Doug Flutie so I'm not going to cheat them out of that. I'll go with Doug Flutie. I like the guy's heart.
