GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Florida receiver Andre Caldwell injured his right knee Saturday night against No. 5 Tennessee and could be out for the season.
Caldwell twisted his knee while being tackled on the opening kickoff of the second half and was carted to the locker room for X-rays.
The 6-foot-1 junior caught two passes for 26 yards in the first half, giving him 10 receptions for 148 yards this season. He caught 43 passes for 689 yards and three touchdowns last season.
The sixth-ranked Gators have little experience behind their top three receivers, Caldwell, Chad Jackson and Dallas Baker.
Defensive end Ray McDonald, Florida's top pass rusher, also injured his right knee against the Volunteers. He walked to the locker room early in the second quarter.
