Respect for Bulls

Letters to the Editor
Published September 18, 2005

Thanks for the coverage on the USF Bulls and what hopefully will be a great instate rivalry football game against UCF. It is nice to see at least one of the local sports sections trying to treat USF well, rather than second class to out-of-town colleges.

-- Paul Benvenuti, Tampa

No respect for Young

If the self-absorbed Delmon Young is starting to shoot off his mouth at the age of 20, then one can only imagine what he will be like when and if he becomes a legitimate major-league star. Terrell Owens, Barry Bonds, Randy Moss and all of the rest of the top members of the malcontent club, move over. You are about to be upstaged. The only thing that he has proven is that he can hit minor-league pitching. If he wants out so badly, I say unload him for what the Rays really need - top pitching prospects.
