TAMPA - Jose Castellon, 26, was headed to his car after cashing a check at a Citgo station at 4511 E Hillsborough Ave. when he was stopped by a man with a gun.

The suspect made overtures of a robbery, police said. They wrestled over control of the suspect's gun after it discharged, hitting Castellon's car. During the struggle, the suspect shot Castellon in the arm and ran away. The bullet grazed Castellon's upper right arm, and he was taken to Tampa General Hospital. The injury is not life-threatening, authorities said.
