CRYSTAL RIVER - Both the Citrus boys and Crystal River girls swim teams continue to roll along.
Each team went 2-0 Tuesday in a tri-match also involving Central at Bicentennial Park.
Citrus (4-0) defeated Central 114-59 and Crystal River 103-82 behind multiple winners Matt Reichenbach (100 and 200 freestyle) and Pablo Picado (50 freestyle, 100 butterfly).
Reichenbach is undefeated this season.
"They all did terrific and everyone pulled their weight," Hurricanes boys coach LeeAnn Pepe said. "All of the ones we expected to swim well did and all of the others did even better."
Crystal River defeated Central 115-64 in the other boys matchup.
The Bears (1-3) had a pair of first-place finishes from Barrett Sheffield (100 breaststroke, 200 IM).
Jeff Arnold (diving) and John Shirley (500 freestyle) had first-place finishes for Crystal River.
Meanwhile, the Pirate girls have won four consecutive meets.
"I'm really pleased with the way the kids are dropping times," Crystal River coach Tas Pepito said. "We are right on pace heading into the conference meet."
Crystal River defeated Central 104-75 and Citrus 103-77.
The Pirates earned the win despite having only one first-place finish (Yuri Palhof, 200 freestyle).
"Our depth is doing it for us," Pepito said. "I am pleasantly surprised with how we are doing and our depth is really beginning to show."
Central (1-3) got a dominating performance from Rae-Lynn Sheffield, who won the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
"We had a good meet," Bears coach Julie Withington said. "Everyone worked very hard."
Elizabeth McGeehan won the 200 IM and the 100 freestyle for Central.
Skye Pepe (500 freestyle) and Julia Muzhichenko (100 breaststroke) had wins for Citrus.
