Neither mild nor mannered

Bob Saget, the milquetoast dad from TV's Full House, is a foul-mouthed guy when he takes to the standup stage. (Just ask anyone who saw him in the movie The Aristocrats.) How about a movie?

A couple of entertaining releases hit movie theaters today: Tim Burton's Corpse Bride and the thriller Flightplan, starring Jodie Foster. St. Petersburg Times film critic Steve Persall described Corpse Bride as "a dependably dark, mirthfully macabre fairy tale." He gave it a B+

Weekend dance-a-thon

The Moving Current Dance Collective opens its ninth season, called "Gravity Abandoned," with a series of contemporary and aerial pieces featuring trapezes, harnesses and bamboo stalks.
