BENEFIT CONCERT: The Hernando Symphony Orchestra will perform a benefit concert for victims of Hurricane Katrina on Oct. 1. The concert will begin at 2 p.m. at the Hernando High School Performing Arts Center, 700 Bell Ave., in Brooksville, and will include New Orleans-style music, along with other selections. There is no admission charge. Donations will be taken at the door, with all proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity. For information, call 683-4404.
FOOD AND FUN: The 22nd Hernando Beach Seafood Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 8 and 9 at the Hernando Beach Yacht Club, 4163 Shoal Line Blvd., Hernando Beach.
