Man accused of molesting girl, 5

DADE CITY - Pasco County sheriff's deputies arrested an 18-year-old man Thursday accused of improperly touching a 5-year-old girl.

Hector Diaz of 40214 River Road was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation and booked into the county jail, where he was being held Friday in lieu of $10,000 bail.

The victim's identity and relationship to the accused were withheld by authorities.

According to a Pasco sheriff's report, the victim said Diaz molested her about 5 p.m. Thursday. He has done so more than once, the victim told deputies, but she couldn't recall exactly when.
