A Cry in the Night Almost 25 years after a murder shocked the little city of Gulfport, the man convicted of the killing hopes that DNA evidence can clear him.
In a promotional film for FSU, 20-year-old Jim Morrison plays the role of a student whose college application was denied. He questions a college official about why. "We would like to accept you… we just don't have the space,'' the official says. "But what happened?'' Morrison asks. "How come my parents, and the state and the university didn't look ahead?''

The public relations film on Florida State University that, in two brief scenes, features a young Jim Morrison years before his more recognized role as lead singer for The Doors.
Before starting film school in Los Angeles, Jim Morrison spent 2 ½ years in college in Florida. He attended St. Petersburg Junior College for the 1961-62 academic year, then transferred to Florida State University. He was at FSU for the 1962-63 academic year and the fall trimester of 1963.
The top section of his transcript is from SPJC, where he got B's and C's in basic classes, including English, math and biology.
The bottom four sections are from FSU, where he got A's in Collective Behavior and Essentials of Acting, and a B in Philosophy of Protest.
