CLEARWATER - A 69-year-old Clearwater woman was in critical condition Saturday after she was run over by her own car, authorities said.
Olga Bochis of 2535 Estancia Blvd. was sitting in her 1998 Lincoln in her driveway when she decided to retrieve something from her home at about 10 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
She left the Lincoln running as she got out, the patrol said. Then the car shifted into reverse, and Bochis was knocked to the ground by the open door. The left front tire hit Bochis as she lay on the ground.
She was flown to Bayfront Medical Center, where she was in critical condition, the Highway Patrol said.
