Today's Xpressions will delight you with beautiful images, imagery and imagination. Feel the silent breeze from the Tuscan hills. Hear the be-bops of jazz that swelled in the streets. See the midnight sky, melting into violet. And to submit your best work to Xpressions, see the instructions below.

Xpressions, our monthly showcase for the art, writing and photography of students through the 12th grade, is looking for your work! Xpressions appears the last Monday of each month inside Floridian.
Please read the following instructions before submitting your work, which must be based on the designated themes.
OCTOBER: I AM . . . This month's Xpressions is all about you. In poetry, prose, art or photography, give our readers a glimpse into what makes you tick. Deadline: Postmark Oct. 12.
NOVEMBER: NATURE BEAUTIFUL - Which of nature's creations do you find especially moving? Share your vision with readers using your choice of photography, art, poetry or prose. Deadline: Postmark Nov. 8.
DECEMBER: OPEN THEME - Send us your creative work (art, words or photography) depicting the topic of your choice. Deadline: Postmark: Dec. 7.
Your work will not be considered for publication without ALL of the following information: your name, age, name of school and grade, your address, ZIP code, phone number with area code. Teachers: Please include your daytime and evening contact information.
IMPORTANT: Stories must be no longer than 150 words. Artwork must be on white, unlined paper. We will return only artwork and only if you indicate that you want it back.
