  • For their own good
Fifty years ago, they were screwed-up kids sent to the Florida School for Boys to be straightened out. But now they are screwed-up men, scarred by the whippings they endured. Read the story and see a video and portrait gallery.

Altering their existence

By SHARON FINK

If it's not true, we've been set up for the most rocking, shocking, controversial, overhyped and overrated episode of MTV's Punk'd yet.

If it is true, now we know who will replace Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey on MTV's Newlyweds.

Self-described soul mates Ashton Kutcher, 27, and Demi Moore, 42, were married over the weekend, according to the Big Four of celebrity news-gathering: Us Weekly, People, Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood.

Attempts to get official comment resulted in Kutcher's publicist, Matt Labov, and Moore's rep, Stephen Huvane, saying "No comment" to just about anyone who asked.

The Saturday night ceremony was put together in a few days, Us and People reported. Moore's stylist was looking for an off-the-rack dress last week, Entertainment Tonight said, and Kutcher's imagemakers were calling designers trying to get a white suit for him.

The guests, who totaled about 100, received 24 hours' notice of an event at the couple's Hollywood Hills home, but just a few knew it would be a wedding, Us editor in chief Janice Min told ET.

The ceremony was Kabbalah, an oral tradition of Jewish mysticism that has become popular with celebrities, including Moore and Kutcher, the magazines said.

IN THE AUDIENCE: Among the friends attending were Kutcher's That '70s Show co-star Wilmer Valderrama; Moore's Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle co-star Lucy Liu; and TV's Punky Brewster, Soleil Moon Frye, and her husband, Jason Goldberg, who co-produces Punk'd with Kutcher.

Also there were Moore's three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis - Rumer, 17, Scout, 14, and Tallulah, 11 - and Willis himself. Willis was the night's unofficial host, Min told ET.

(Best snarky comment so far: The only awkward moment was Willis toasting Kutcher by calling him the son-in-law he'd always wanted.)

SIENNA MILLER'S RULES OF ENGAGEMENT: Miller was punk'd in real life when fiance Jude Law slept with his children's nanny after proposing. Maybe she's just setting him up for payback, but reports are that she has decided to continue their relationship. And, London's Daily Mail says, she has established six rules Law must follow to keep from being dumped:

1) Never be unfaithful again. 2) Stay away from ex-wife Sadie Frost and her friends. 3) Romance Miller again before considering marriage. 4) Stop losing his temper. 5) Let Miller make her own career choices. 6) Let Miller see her friends when she wants.

In one indication that Miller may be serious about reconciliation, she didn't take Law to her sister's weekend wedding, Ananova.com reported. It speculated that she didn't want to overshadow her sister's big day. We speculate that she didn't trust him around the bridal party.
