This is Hispanic Heritage Month, and two festivals this weekend celebrate the area's Latin heritage.

At the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, the Viva Dali Hispanic Heritage Fest pays homage to the Spanish artist with a day of music, food, kids activities and $5 entrance to the exhibits. The hours for the free festival are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with museum hours of 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The museum is at 1000 Third St. S, St. Petersburg. (727) 823-3767.

The city of Clearwater, as a way of acknowledging that 10 percent of its population is Hispanic, is throwing a one-day Hispanic Heritage Festival Saturday in downtown Coachman Park. The musical entertainment includes rapper Ivy Queen, pop singer Jennifer Pena, salsa singer Jose Alberto and alt-rocker JD Natasha. The festival includes ethnic foods, games for kids and more. Tickets are $20 to $23.54. (813) 287-8844 or (727) 898-2100.
