Delaware Townhomes
By MICHAEL CANNING
Published September 30, 2005
LOCATION: 100 block of S Delaware Avenue between Cleveland Street and Kennedy Boulevard.
DEVELOPER: Gaspar Properties.
DESCRIPTION: A three-story Mediterranean Revival-style building with six townhomes. Units have three bedrooms and 31/2 bathrooms and 1,700 to 2,400 square feet.
PRICE: All units are sold and went for $350,000 to $400,000. Jessica Groom of Gaspar Properties said one unit is up for resale.
ARCHITECT: BDG Architects in Tampa.
AMENITIES: Each unit has oak floors, 10-foot ceilings, private balconies and a two-car garage.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: The building is designed around an old oak tree. "It's protected by the city but it actually worked out pretty nice," Groom said. "It's like a U-shaped building and allowed us to create a nice courtyard. I think it's more attractive than the long rows of buildings you see with other townhomes in South Tampa."
TIMELINE: Construction started in April and is scheduled to end in February. MOVE-IN DATE: February.
FOR INFORMATION: Jessica Groom at Gaspar Properties, 258-3171.
