By Times Staff
Published September 30, 2005

TARPON SPRINGS - Tarpon Springs police detectives Thursday released this computer-generated sketch of a man who detectives say accosted a St. Petersburg Times newspaper carrier at the Green Dolphin condominium complex the morning of Sept. 18. The carrier was not harmed in the incident, which took place about 6 a.m., but the suspect may have suffered abrasions to the lower part of his body when the woman resisted him, police said. The suspect was armed with a black-handled knife that had a blade 6 to 8 inches long. Police described the suspect as a white man, 25 to 35, 5 feet 10 to 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds, with a large build. He was unshaven, had brown hair and brown eyes and wore blue jeans, a light gray hooded sweat shirt, dirty white sneakers and dark gloves with leather palms. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call detectives at (727) 938-2849.
