UCF has two-game win streak

LAFAYETTE, La. - Matt Prater hit a 28-yard field goal with 2.3 seconds remaining to give UCF a 24-21 win over Louisiana-Lafayette Saturday night, the Golden Knights' second straight win after a 17-game losing streak.

UCF led 21-0 going into the second quarter before the Ragin' Cajuns scored after a 47-yard drive to make it 21-7 going into the half.

Backup quarterback Michael Desormeaux led an 11-play 80-yard drive in the third quarter to bring the Cajuns within a touchdown. Desormeaux came in after starter Jerry Babb hurt his shoulder in the first series and did not return.

B-CC 44, MORGAN ST. 26: Quarterback Jimmie Russell ran for four scores, three in the first quarter as the host Wildcats opened a 30-0 lead. And Russell had 12 carries for 128 yards and threw for 83 more, including a 58-yard scoring pass to Jonathan Summers in the second quarter. Russell had first-quarter scoring runs of 19, 9 and 20 yards, with each coming before Morgan State reached Bethune-Cookman territory. Eric Weems had 113 rushing yards, including a 38-yard score, for Bethune-Cookman, which outgained Morgan State 397-329.

FIU 23, FAMU 6: Ben West ran for 214 yards in his first start and Josh Padrick threw two touchdowns to help the Golden Panthers beat the Rattlers in the Orange Blossom Classic at Miami. West's total was the third most in Florida International's history. Adam Moss kicked three field goals for the Golden Panthers. Florida A&M avoided the shutout early in the fourth quarter, when Roosevelt Kiser caught a 77-yard touchdown pass from Albert Chester.
