Anheuser-Busch taps pumpkin ale

Anheuser-Busch Cos. is launching a series of seasonal beers available on tap.

The nation's largest brewer this week rolls out Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale for the fall. Anheuser-Busch plans to offer a draught to match each of the four seasons.

The taste of Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale is a balance of spices highlighted by the slight sweetness of the malt and pumpkin, brewmaster Florian Kuplent said.

"It's a well-rounded beer that goes with food very well," Kuplent said. "You could serve it with turkey and as a dessert beer."

The ale will be available in the bottle as part of the Michelob Special Sampler Collection. Future seasonal beers will be sold only on tap.
