"CLIFFHANGER': The Francis Wilson Playhouse, 302 Seminole St., Clearwater, will present the comedy mystery Cliffhanger through Oct. 16. Show times are 8 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20 general admission, $12 for students. Call 446-1360.

FIRE STATION OPEN HOUSE: East Lake Fire and Rescue will have an open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Station 57, 3375 Tarpon Lake Blvd. Events include antique truck rides, firefighters' demonstrations, food and vendors, and a child safety seat installation check. Call 784-8668.

ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL: An arts and crafts festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Community Center/Fine Arts Complex on Michigan Avenue, Dunedin. Admission and parking are free. There will be music and food. Call Terri or Tina at (352) 546-2322.

DANCE PARTY: The Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center, 550 Laura Lane, Dunedin, will have a Saturday Night Fever dance party from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday for ages 11 to 14. Dances are sponsored and supervised by the Dunedin Recreation Division and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Teen club members receive $1 off the $4 admission. Refreshments will be sold. SCOTTISH MUSE: The Scottish Muse (Constantine and Ted Grame), with roots in the 19th century, with Elizabeth McLennan Grame who learned the songs and poems of her native land, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 E Pine St. Constantine and Ted, both skilled musicians, sing and play the songs of Scotland using voice, piano and bagpipe. Admission is $15; center member or student, $13.

GALLERY SHOW: A two-man show of wildlife paintings by Ernest Simmons and giclees by Geoffrey Smith will open at the Plainsmen Gallery, 2450 Sunset Point Road, Suite A, Clearwater, Saturday through Oct. 29. An artist reception will be from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 22 and 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 23. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Call 726-5100.

CHAMBER MUSIC: The Kaleidoscope Chamber Players, an ensemble from the Florida Orchestra, consists of cellist Sasha von Dassow, violinist Arthur Girsky, violist Alison Heydt, harpist Anna Kate Mackle and flutist Daphne Soellner, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Tarpon Springs Heritage Museum, 100 Beekman Lane, Craig Park. Admission is $16; center member or student, $14.

OPERA VIDEO: The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs, with the Pinellas Opera League, presents Kari Tikka's Luther at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the museum auditorium. The show is free. Call 712-5762.

ON THE EASEL: The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs, presents the monthly program On the Easel at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the museum lobby. The program is designed to acquaint attendees with works of art gifted to the museum collection or works that are on loan. This month the discussion will feature Neil Farkas' Head of Picasso. A question and answer session will follow. On the Easel is included in the cost of museum admission. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday; and evening hours 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and free for children and students with ID. Sunday admission is free. Docent tours are at 2 p.m. Call 712-5762.

COLORED PENCILS: The Gainesville chapter of the Colored Pencil Society of America will present its sixth annual statewide exhibition of artwork at the Painted Fish Gallery, 350 Main St., Dunedin, through Nov. 6. PAVA SHOW: The annual Professional Association of Visual Artists members show will be at the J. Harrison Smith Studios and Gallery, 1356 S Fort Harrison, Clearwater, through Oct. 21. PAVA is a regional group with members who work in all mediums and styles. The show will include 2- and 3-D artwork and fine crafts. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
