Woman who said she had a bomb holds up drugstore

NEW PORT RICHEY - A woman claiming to be armed with a bomb robbed the Walgreens at 6302 U.S. 19 about 9:30 a.m. Thursday, New Port Richey police said.

The woman placed a brown plastic bag with what appeared to be wires and batteries inside on the pharmacy counter and demanded narcotics.

The pharmacist, believing she had a bomb, complied.

The robber is white, between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet tall with dark brown hair.
