An entirely subjective look at the week ahead

SERIOUS NUMBERS
With more violence likely in the runup to the crucial vote on a new Iraqi constitution Saturday and the number of American military personnel killed in Iraq standing at 1,950 last week, the death toll for our troops could reach the 2,000 mark this week, with no end in sight.
COME ON OUT
Although it's probably not on the Hillsborough County Commission's dance card, the acclaimed Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival will be entertaining thousands through Sunday go to www.pridefilmfest.com for information. Coincidentally, Tuesday is National Coming Out Day, sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign (www.hrc.org) and the commission can't vote to cancel it.
MOVING MILLIONS
The 10th anniversary of the Million Man March, which drew a multitude of black men to Washington for an expression of protest, unity and activism, will be marked Saturday. The Millions More Movement is another gathering on the National Mall organized by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who said last week the event would begin with a memorial for victims of Hurricane Katrina. "Katrina is our reason," he said, to transform anger into"constructive energy" to eliminate poverty and injustice. Organizers and supporters also include Russell Simmons, Kanye West, Queen Latifah, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Cornell West. For information, go to www.millionsmoremovement.com
CONSPIRACY THEORY
Lost fans who aren't already watching Desperate Housewives might want to take a gander at 9 p.m. Sunday. Remember Arzt, the know-it-all science teacher who appeared late last season, only to be blown up during the hatch-opening operation? The same actor, Daniel Roebuck, is now playing insurance agent Mr. Flannery on DH. Coincidence? An ABC contract juggle? Or maybe that locked room in the Applewhites' basement is another door to the underground lair beneath the hatch, and Lostaway Island is connected to Wisteria Lane. . . . Now there's some crossover plot potential to chew on.
CELEBRITY SALESPEOPLE CELEBRATE
Second-generation NASCAR icon Dale Earnhardt Jr., who pitches everything from beer to cologne, turns 31 today. Erstwhile royal Sarah Ferguson, who has been a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers and Wedgwood, will be 46 on Saturday, the same day Lee Iacocca, who has been teaming with Snoop Dogg and a cute kid to flack for Chrysler, the company he used to run, turns 81.
