Hospice to provide volunteer training

BROOKSVILLE - Hernando-Pasco Hospice will provide volunteer training from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 19-20 at the facility at 698 S Broad St.

The training is for a variety of volunteer opportunities, such as fundraisers like the holiday Tree of Life, visiting with patients and family members, working on office projects or assisting in the Hospice Thrift Store & More.

Applications must be completed in advance of the volunteer training. For information or to register, call Donna Barnett at 796-2611.

Volunteer opportunities are available for teenagers 14 and older, with Saturday trainings to be arranged if there is enough interest.
