Brooksville man guilty of sexual battery

BROOKSVILLE - Walter Austin Read was convicted on Wednesday of two counts of sexual battery on a child under 12.

Sentencing has been set for Nov. 3.

"He's looking at life," Assistant State Attorney Rob Lewis said.

Read, 23, of 21025 Pinewood Dairy Road, Brooksville, was arrested in January and accused of kissing, fondling and having sex with an 11-year-old.
