The Artillery is an artists collective that has injected a lot of creative energy into the community with events ranging from an avant-garde auction to weekly gatherings at the historic St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club.

Now the group opens "Cross Pollination" Saturday at Covivant Gallery, 4906 N Florida Ave., Tampa. New art by art provocateurs Chad Mize, Phillip Clark, Anna Sauer, whose mixed media work is shown above, and Andrew Hawthorne will be on view from 7 to 11 p.m. Suggested donation is $5. The exhibition continues through Nov. 2. Regular gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday or by appointment. 813 234-0222 or go to www.covivant.com to preview images.
