Kirkland, Russ, Murphy & Tapp PA, St. Petersburg, announces these promotions: Wendi Brown and Melinda Cappa to audit seniors; John Maceovsky to senior tax manager; Nathan Smith to tax manager; and Jessica Nixon to tax senior. Brown and Cappa were audit staffers; Maceovsky was tax manager; Smith was tax senior; and Nixon was tax staffer.

Valerie Spellmeyer has been named an associate at WilderArchitecture, Tampa. Spellmeyer was special events coordinator at Jasper Engines and Transmissions, Jasper, Ind.

Jason Fox has been promoted to vice president in the retail banking line at SunTrust Bank, St. Petersburg. Fox was branch manager for SunTrust's 34th Street branch.

Jean Duval has been named vice president/branch manager at Patriot Bank, Trinity. Duval was assistant vice president/branch manager for AmSouth Bank, New Port Richey.

Thayer Haydon has been named land acquisitions manager for the Florida Land Development division at Taylor Woodrow, St. Petersburg. Haydon was the land acquisition manager for the North Florida Land division of Lennar Homes, Tampa.

Pam Malone has been promoted to regional vice president of sales and marketing at Mercedes Homes, Tampa. Malone was vice president of sales and marketing for the Tampa division.

Charlotte Maddox has been appointed to the 2005-06 board of directors of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Maddox will chair the Young Engineers Advisory Council and will be board liaison for the Mentoring Task Force. Maddox is a senior associate and project manager in the West Florida information solutions program at PBS&J, Tampa.

Joyce Frustaci has been promoted to vice president of marketing at Market Street Mortgage, Clearwater. Frustaci was assistant vice president of marketing.

Vonda White has been inducted into the Pinellas County Business Women's Hall of Fame, which recognizes women in Pinellas County whose career contributions in business have embodied the best characteristics of free enterprise. White is president of Collegiate Risk Management Inc., Tarpon Springs.

Richard Hadlow has been appointed by Sen. Mel Martinez to the newly formed statewide federal judicial nominating commission, which will provide recommendations for potential nominees to the Florida Federal District Courts. Hadlow is a partner and practices in the areas of securities law, corporate law, partnership law, corporate finance and mergers, acquisitions and divestitures at the law firm of Holland & Knight, Tampa.

David R. Punzak has been elected to the board of the Community Foundation of Greater of St. Petersburg. Punzak is managing shareholder and a member of the board of directors, and practices in the real estate and mortgage financing practice group and the corporate, securities, tax and asset-based financing practice group at the law firm of Carlton Fields, St. Petersburg.

Hala A. Sandridge has been selected to participate in the 2006 class of Leadership Tampa. Sandridge is a shareholder and is group leader for the appellate group at the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker, Tampa.

Donald W. Stanley Jr. is president-elect of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. Stanley is a partner at the law firm of Allen Dell PA, Tampa.

Susan Leonard has been named a leasing associate and property manager at Ross Realty Group Inc., Clearwater. Leonard was property manager at Peter Lawrence Commercial Real Estate, Tampa.

Zoe Green has been named managing broker at Prudential Tropical Realty's South Tampa office. Green was a sales associate at RealWorks, Tampa.
