Arrest ends 3 years on run

TAMPA - The U.S. marshals and Temple Terrace police arrested a man Tuesday who is accused of child molestation and has been on the run for three years.

Johnny Penton, 36, was wanted in Atlanta on suspicion of child molestation, federal officials said. Authorities said he molested a 14-year-old boy and fled the Atlanta area after learning that the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office issued an arrest warrant.

The U.S. marshals recently learned that Penton was living in the Tampa area with his wife and three stepchildren. That's where they found him: 8710 Doral Oaks Drive, No. 1116, Temple Terrace.

Penton was booked in the Hillsborough County jail awaiting extradition to Georgia.
