He is arrested over allegations that he padded his time sheet by four hours.

PORT RICHEY - Police arrested a city worker Monday accused of falsifying his time sheet.

Shawn Duane Brown, 30, 10539 Bessemel St., New Port Richey, faces a charge of official misconduct for seeking approximately $56 in overtime pay for work he did not perform, his arrest report said.

The report said Brown, a utilities department employee, claimed to have spent four hours on a water main break on Oct. 2, when in fact he was working a second job as a security officer in Tampa during that time.

Port Richey City Manager Jerry Calhoun said Brown was fired Tuesday evening but has requested an administrative hearing. The hearing likely will be on Friday.
