Hot tickets: He's the voice of comedy

Pablo Francisco's standup comedy is known for his sound effects, animation, impressions and funny voices. Francisco, 33, has been a cast member of Mad TV and can be seen routinely - by viewers with satellite TV service - on SiTV. He also can be seen in David Spade's new Comedy Central show, The Show Biz Show, and Francisco has a new comedy DVD, Bits and Pieces.

From a stop in Miami Beach recently, he took time for a few questions:

What do you find funny?

Stuff that agitates me. Some of the stupid things I do in my life, some of the stupid things I see other people do. Right now, I'm on a roll checking out jealous boyfriends and girlfriends. It's funny to watch these guys in their mid 40s lose it over something stupid.

Do you ever have problems with hecklers?

I don't waste my time cursing hecklers. I don't have time to let them get to me. I have them kicked out.

What got you interested in doing accents and voices in the first place?

I was working for Domino's Pizza, writing my whole act while making pizzas and answering phones. I was hearing people you can make fun of. Then I added real-life celebrities. I just take them and try to make them a little more edgy.

Francisco performs at 8 p.m. today, 8 and 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday at Improv Comedy Theater, 1600 E Eighth Ave., C-112, Tampa. $18-$20. (813) 864-4000.
