Mall lets nonprofits take part in event

Westfield Brandon is again offering nonprofit organizations the chance to participate in its Westfield Works Wonders event.

Organizations can sell $10 tickets to the mall's Nov. 13 night of discounts, holiday entertainment, door prizes, free gift-wrapping and more. Participating nonprofits keep 70 percent of each ticket sold.

Interested groups should contact Taylor Clifton at Westfield Brandon at 661-5100.

- ERNEST HOOPER Brooker Elementary sponsors Funfest

Brooker Elementary School once again sponsors Funfest. The PTA fundraiser begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at 812 DeWolf Road.

Activities include a bungee challenge, slides, moonwalk, games, arts and crafts, relay races, silent auctions and a special dunk-the-principal attraction. Armbands are $8 in advance, $10 the day of event. Parking is free, and a shuttle will be provided from the Bell Shoals Baptist Church parking lot. Call 744-8184.
