CITRUS COUNTY ART LEAGUE has postponed its 40th anniversary gala scheduled for today and Saturday because of uncertainty about the weekend weather. The new date will be announced later. Those who have purchased tickets can elect to reserve a seat for the rescheduled event or ask for a refund by contacting the box office between 1 and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at 746-7606.

STILL WATERS JAZZ QUARTET will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Stumpknockers on the Square restaurant, on the Courthouse Square, Inverness. Admission is $5. Call 726-2212.

THE SCARECROW FESTIVAL in Heritage Village, downtown Crystal River, will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. The festival will feature crafts stations for kids, puppet shows, food, pony rides, games, a haunted hayride and karaoke music by Jammin' With Jesse. Free admission.

STAGECRAFTERS' fall production, A Mad Breakfast, is a dinner theater production running today, Saturday and Sunday at the Southern Woods Country Club. Cocktails at 5:30, dinner at 6 and show at 7. Reservations required. Cost for the dinner and show is $18.95. Major credit cards are accepted as well as country club membership cards. CONCERT IN THE PARK bands and single performers will entertain from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at pavilion 2, Floral Park on U.S. 41, south of Floral City. Citrus County Parks and Recreation, with assistance from Charlotte Boyer, will host the free concert, which will include performances by Remnant, Lee Britt, Cajun Dave, Tommy Allison, Sue Spencer, Lil Evelyn, Peter Wolf and Ron and Shirley Sharrer. The concert is pending favorable weather. Bring a blanket and lawn chair.

THE WATERCOLORISTS of the Citrus County Art League Cultural Center will exhibit works through Nov. 2 in the gallery. Hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and during the center's special events. The gallery is part of the Cultural Center's complex at 2644 N. ARTS AND CRAFTS sale and seafood festival open air show sponsored by Inglis/Yankeetown Lions Club will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 19 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 20, on Riverside Drive, Yankeetown. Juried show with prize money and ribbons awarded to top four.

COOTERFEST will be Oct. 28 to 30 in Inverness. Festivities will include cooter races, a pedal tractor pull, human races, bicycle rides, a barbecue cookoff, a motorcycle run, historical tours and a spooky Cooterween celebration. Ben Jones, who played Cooter Davenport on the Dukes of Hazzard television series, will sign autographs on Oct. 28 and will perform with his band at the Great American Cooter Blast on Oct. 29. Jones will also bring the General Lee, the show's famous Dixie-playing car. Food and crafts booths will be available. Disc jockey music by TMC Productions, along with live bands performing. IR-RU OFFERS SPOOKTACULAR FUN: Halloween will be celebrated at the IR-RU Family Social Club on Oct. 29. Event starts at 5 p.m., with entertainment provided by Laurie McCann from 6 until 10. ART LEAGUE CONCERT: Guitar virtuoso Richard Giliwitz and pianist David Webb will perform a "Strings & Keys" concert at 8 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Art Center Theatre. THE WINTER WONDERLAND CRAFT SHOW, sponsored by the Citrus County Craft Council, will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Crystal River National Guard Armory, Venable Street and U.S. 19. The show focuses on a wide assortment of holiday items. Admission to the show is free, and some of the artists' proceeds will benefit CASA, the Citrus Abuse Shelter Association. HOLIDAY CRAFT SHOW sponsored by the East Citrus Community Center will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 10. The community center is at 9907 E State Road 44, Inverness, next to the Gospel Island fire department. Call 344-9666.
