THE COMEDY-DRAMA "THE GOOD TIMES ARE KILLING ME' will be presented at 7:30 p.m. today, 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. Sunday at Selby Auditorium on the Saint Leo University campus, off State Road 52, 4 miles east of Interstate 75 (exit 285). The play is about the interracial friendship between two 12-year-old girls in the 1960s. Admission is free.
NEIL SIMON'S COMEDY-FARCE "RUMORS' continues weekends through Nov. 4 at Richey Suncoast Theatre, 6237 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. BLUESMAN DANIEL SLICK BALLINGER will perform at 9:30 tonight at Bourbon Street Concert Club, 4331 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. Ballinger received the Albert King Flying V Guitar at the Blues Foundation's 2004 International Blues Challenge in Memphis for being named "best guitarist of the night." The opening act is Blind Mississippi Morris. Admission is $7.

The Sofa Kings will do modern and classic rock at 1 p.m.; That '70s Band Rockin' '70s Music is on at 2 p.m.; Ghostriders Southern Rock is at 3 p.m.; and Wiley Fox rocking country goes on at 4 p.m. Admission is $10 (ages 13 and younger free) at the door. Proceeds will benefit 4-year-old Alexander Parris, who is undergoing radiation and chemotherapy.

"A SPLASH OF COLOR' all-media art show continues through Oct. 28 at the West Pasco Art Guild gallery, 6206 Jefferson St., New Port Richey. Hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays; and 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Thursdays.
"GLIMPSES OF REALITY,' an exhibit of mostly representational art, continues through Oct. 29 at Greater New Port Richey Main Street and Progress Energy Art Gallery, 6231 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays; also by appointment. Admission is free.
THE WEST PASCO QUILTERS' GUILD INC. is exhibiting small to king-sized quilts in "Home Is Where the Heart Is" through Nov. 23 at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S Pinellas Ave. (Alt. U.S. 19; with clock tower on top), Tarpon Springs. Exhibit hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays. A quilted fashion show is Nov. 5; and a children's quilting day is Nov. 19. There will be an ongoing quilt auction.
PASCO ARTS COUNCIL'S art center continues its show, "Family ArtLinks" Exhibition, or "Is It True Art Runs in Families?" through Oct. 29. A display of "Yard Art," made up of one-of-a-kind birdbaths and birdhouses by the center's pottery students, is integrated into the show. The center is at 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
THE FLORIDA WATERCOLOR SOCIETY'S 34th anniversary show continues through Oct. 30 at Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, 600 Klosterman Road (a quarter-mile west of U.S. 19), Tarpon Springs. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and free to children and students. Sunday is free; docent-led tours are at 2 p.m.
AUDITIONS AND WORKSHOPS
RICHEY SUNCOAST THEATRE will hold auditions for the musical George M!, a biography of the multitalented George M. Cohan, at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 and 31 at the theater, 6237 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. Roles are for 25 males and females ages 14 through 74. Tap dancers, jugglers and other skilled performers are also needed. Director is Charlie Skelton. Production dates are Jan. 12-29.
THE "BE A STAR VOCAL COMPETITION' will be held by the Hudson Seafest, with the three winners performing at the Seafest on Nov. 19. There will be cash awards and prizes worth $3,000, including a demo recording session for the first-place adult winner. Entries will be accepted in four age categories; entry fee is $50. PASCO ART COUNCIL'S art center will accept arts and crafts to sell (six to 12 pieces) during the annual Holiday House exhibit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Saturday. LONGLEAF FINE ARTS ON THE VILLAGE GREEN will register entrants for its annual fine arts juried show and sale through Oct. 31. Participants may enter ceramics, computer digital art, drawings, fiber art, glass, graphics, printmaking, jewelry, metal works, mixed media, paintings, photos, sculpture and wood items.
