Ex-employee sues hospice over age bias

By Times Staff Writer
Published October 22, 2005

INVERNESS - A former employee of Hospice of Citrus County filed suit this week, claiming she was discriminated against because of her age.

Carol Dickman, 62, filed the suit Wednesday, according to court records. Dickman worked for hospice from July 1993 to Oct. 25, 2004, when she was fired. Hospice said she was fired because she told a job applicant's employer that the applicant was trying to get a job at hospice, according to court records. Dickman says that her age, not her actions, was the real reason she was fired.
