TAMPA - Fans of former New York Yankees pitcher Dwight Gooden will have wait a little longer to find out his fate.
Two months ago Gooden, 40, fled as a Tampa police officer stopped him for driving erratically. On Tuesday, a Hillsborough judge postponed a hearing on charges of fleeing, reckless driving and obstructing a police officer.
Gooden is now expected to appear before a judge on those charges and on an older domestic violence battery charge Nov. 3. Gooden turned himself in Aug. 25 after three days as a fugitive.
He has been held in jail without bail.
