Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School presents two one-act plays, Anne-Arky and Wait Wait Bo Bait, at 8 p.m. Nov. 5 and 2 p.m. Nov. 6 at the school's Eleanor Dempsey Performing Arts Center, 13651 Hayes Road, Spring Hill. The FBA District 5 Marching Music Assessment will take place Nov. 5 in the stadium at River Ridge Middle/High School, 11646 Town Center Road, New Port Richey. The event will feature bands from Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties, with the first performance tentatively scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and students (students should bring a student ID, if possible). Children 10 and younger are admitted free. Parking will be $3 and includes an event program. Ticket and parking proceeds will benefit the band programs in all three counties.

These events will be held at the Pasco Schools Center for the Arts at River Ridge, 11646 Town Center Road, New Port Richey:

River Ridge High School drama presents A Midsummer's Night Dream at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for students. Call (727) 774-7382.

An attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder support group meeting will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Gulfside Elementary School, 2329 Anclote Blvd., Holiday. Trish Chesley, licensed mental health counselor at the Harbor, will talk on "Signs and Symptoms of ADHD," give a basic overview of the disorder and discuss treatment intervention and new research. Tuesday is the deadline to apply for Target All-Around Scholarships. One $25,000 grand scholarship and 625 $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students with records of outstanding community service and volunteerism. Recipients are selected based on their commitment to volunteerism, including number of community volunteer service hours; volunteer leadership awards and honors; appraisal form completed by a volunteer supervisor or leader; essay on volunteer service; and grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
