How do you feel about handling the kickoff duties for the first time this weekend?

I came in (this fall) thinking I might play; I didn't know if I would or not, but the coaches (said) they would be redshirting me and I just found out the other day they'd be taking it off. I'd like to redshirt but it's no big deal.

With the team struggling a bit to limit opponents' kickoff returns, did you sense this might come?

Me and Weed (Gary Cismesia) had been talking about it. He said if he didn't start doing better, I might be kicking next week.

What's this with kickers and nicknames? Do you have one?

I don't. They just call me whatever they want to call me.

Is it misconception about kickers that they are, how shall we say, different?

We're kind of weird, I guess.

Any superstitions or pregame rituals?

I put my right cleat on first all the time; everything on right foot (first).

When you play NCAA Football 2006, which team do you pick?

I only play with Florida State, but if someone else is playing Florida State, I'll just pick a random team.

The kicker is good, though?

Yeah. Got to be.
