Boil-water notice in Gulf Harbors

By Times Staff Writer
Published October 29, 2005

NEW PORT RICHEY - Lindrick Services Corp. issued a boil-water notice Friday for the 3800 to 4200 blocks of Floramar Terrace in Gulf Harbors.

Pasco Fire Service crews were testing a broken fire hydrant when the stem was broken, creating a loss of pressure that could allow bacteria to breed in the stagnant water, Lindrick said. Customers should bring their water to a rolling boil for a minute before using it for drinking or cooking, or use bottled water until tests show the tap water is safe.
