GREENVILLE, N.C. - Central Florida quarterback Steven Moffett and wide receiver Mike Walker didn't have much success Saturday until it mattered most.

Moffett threw two fourth-quarter touchdowns to Walker as the Golden Knights defeated East Carolina 30-20.

Moffett threw a 38-yard touchdown to Walker with 9:12 left to give the Golden Knights the lead for good. UCF, which has won five of six after losing 17 in a row, is a win away from being bowl eligible.

Moffett, who had a touchdown pass for the 11th consecutive game, hit Walker again for a 31-yard score with 4:00 left. Walker finished with seven receptions for 110 yards.

"I thought we showed some grit when we had to get some scores," UCF coach George O'Leary said.

Brandon Fractious gained a career-high 107 yards rushing for the Pirates and had his first two career touchdowns. The second gave ECU a 20-17 lead with 12:14 to go.

On the ensuing possession, the Golden Knights drove 80 yards in nine plays, and Moffett found Walker over the top of ECU's secondary for the deciding score.

FAMU 27, MORGAN ST. 16: Albert Chester ran for two touchdowns and finished with 202 yards of total offense for visiting Florida A&M. Chester had touchdown runs of 1 and 9 yards in the second half for the Rattlers, who have consecutive wins.

B-CC 54, N.C. A&T 17: Jimmie Russell ran for one touchdown and threw for one in the closing minutes of the first half to break it open for visiting Bethune-Cookman. With the score tied at 17 late in the first, Russell scored on a 39-yard run with 2:02 left and threw a 38-yard TD to Eric Weems.
