NEWSMAKERS

Flammer Ford of Spring Hill is supporting juniors and seniors in higher education by offering an incentive to attain higher grades and perfect attendance. For the first three marking periods, each student who gets an A or has perfect attendance will get two entry forms. Each student who gets a B will get one entry form. The forms will be put in a giant hopper and at the end of the third marking period, 15 finalists will be drawn. One of those 15 will then be drawn to win a 2006 Ford Mustang, donated by Flammer Ford. Students should go to Flammer Ford on U.S. 19 with their report cards to fill out their entry forms. The winner must be present to win, and will be responsible for taxes, title and registration fees and license plate. All information will be shredded after the contest.

Spring Hill Elementary is hosting a newspaper drive. Students are asked to deposit clean, dry newspapers in the red and green bins in the parking lot in the back of the school. Proceeds will go to Katrina victims.
