Fundraiser trailer missing from Brooker Elementary

By S.I. ROSENBAUM
Published November 4, 2005

BRANDON - No one knows where the trailer went. Or who took it away.

But when school staff and PTA members showed up at Brooker Elementary School on Oct. 22, it was gone.

The trailer, on loan from Patriot Metals, was part of an ongoing PTA fundraiser, school officials said. Students were working to fill the trailer with aluminum cans, while parents had volunteered to tow the trailer to recycling stations to redeem the cans for cash.

Now, the trailer and cans are gone. Worse, if the trailer isn't returned, the PTA will have to reimburse Patriot Metals for its loss.

The PTA and principal Jason Pepe ask anyone with information to call the school at 744-8184.
