WACO, Texas - Ramonce Taylor, Texas' third starting tailback this season, ran for 102 yards and three touchdowns and caught a 42-yard touchdown in a 62-0 win over Baylor.
With Selvin Young out with nagging injuries, Taylor got the start at tailback, where he played in high school before being moved to receiver during spring practice.
Texas was in control from the outset. Jamaal Charles, who also has started but been banged up recently, made it 7-0 with a 4-yard run. It came one play after Limas Sweed's one-handed 45-yard catch.
Texas led 27-0 at halftime, and on its first snap of the second, Vince Young (16-of-27 for 298 yards and two touchdowns and 53 yards on eight carries) faked a handoff to Taylor and rolled to his right. He stopped, avoided a defender and threw to Taylor, who was alone and ran for the touchdown.
No. 16 Texas Tech 56, Texas A&M 17
LUBBOCK, Texas - Taurean Henderson ran for 109 yards and four touchdowns for the Red Raiders. The margin of victory was the largest for Tech in series history, surpassing 41-9 in 1954, Bear Bryant's first season as A&M coach.
The Aggies trailed 14-10 at halftime but fumbled at their 37 on their first second-half series. Nine plays later, quarterback Cody Hodges' run made it 21-10. Henderson made it 28-10 with a 19-yard run on Tech's next series.
No. 25 Colorado 41, Missouri 12
BOULDER, Colo. - Lawrence Vickers scored four touchdowns for the Buffaloes. Normally a blocking back, he replaced the injured Hugh Charles, scoring on runs of 1, 2, 20 and 7 yards and gaining a career-high 85 yards.
The Tigers pulled to 24-12 early in the third when Stryker Sulak hit quarterback Joel Klatt and forced a fumble, which Jamar Smith returned 12 yards. Colorado responded with an 80-yard drive, extended by a roughing-the-punter penalty and capped by Quinn Sypniewski's 6-yard catch.
After 36 tries, Kansas finally beats Nebraska
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas ended a 36-game losing streak to Nebraska 40-15. The last Kansas win had been 23-13 in 1968.
Cory Ross' 1-yard run with 6:19 left in the third pulled Nebraska to 17-15. But two plays after a failed two-point conversion, Jon Cornish took a delayed handoff and went 72 yards for a touchdown.
After Kyle Tucker's punt put Nebraska at its 5, Eric Butler sacked Zac Taylor in the end zone for a 26-15 lead. On the ensuing drive, Kansas drove 75 yards in 12 plays and 6:12, capped by Jason Swanson' 12-yard touchdown to Mark Simmons that made it 33-15.
IOWA ST. 45, KANSAS ST. 17: Bret Meyer threw three touchdowns for the host Cyclones. Nik Moser's third-quarter interception set up Meyer's 9-yard pass to Austin Flynn that made it 31-10. The Wildcats fumbled the ensuing kickoff, and four plays later, Ryan Kock scored from a yard out.
