Dr. Peter W. Blumencranz has been selected by the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses of the Gulf Coast of Florida to receive the 2005 Distinguished Innovative Surgeons Award. Blumencranz is being honored for his research in breast cancer and for advancements in lymphatic mapping and sentinel lymph node biopsy. Blumencranz is a surgical oncologist at Morton Plant and is medical director of Moffitt Morton Plant Cancer Care, Clearwater.

Gerald Davis received the Guardian ad Litem Community Advocate of the Year Award for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, given by the Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office and the Office of the Governor for outstanding community advocacy for abused and neglected children of Florida. Davis is executive partner and practices in the areas of commercial litigation, creditor's rights and bankruptcy at the law firm of Holland & Knight, St. Petersburg.
Nathaniel L. Doliner has been elected to the board of trustees of the Florida Holocaust Museum, St. Petersburg. Doliner is a shareholder and chairman of the corporate practice group, and practices in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and taxation at the law firm of Carlton Fields, Tampa.
