An expert on regional development strategies will be the keynote speaker at the Tampa Bay Partnership's annual meeting on Nov. 18.
Robert J. Grow, founding chairman emeritus of Envision Utah, will talk about growth issues and creating a regional vision.
Founded in 1997, the Utah public/private partnership has developed a growth strategy that focuses on preserving critical lands, promoting water conservation and clean air, improving regionwide transportation systems and providing housing options for residents.
Also to be honored during the meeting at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, are Gov. Jeb Bush and Tampa real estate developer Richard A. "Dick" Beard. Both men will receive the Chairman's Cup for excellence in regionalism.
Though the meeting is sold out, with 450 people registered, Tampa Bay Partnership is compiling a waiting list of those interested in attending.
Registration can be made either online at www.tampabay.org or by contacting Elisa DeGregorio at 813 872-2810.
