By Times Staff Writer
Published November 10, 2005

The India Festival has grown into the largest cultural event for the Indian community in Florida, drawing several thousand folks each year for a day of music, food, shopping, dance and other entertainment.

Classical dancers representing the Hindu Temple of Florida in Tampa were among 60 groups competing at last year's festival.

Presented by Gujarati Samaj of Tampa Bay, the festival runs from 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the USF Sun Dome, 4202 E Fowler Ave., Tampa. $6, $3 kids. 813 974-3002; www.gujaratisamaj.org
