TARPON SPRINGS - A 22-year-old woman was seriously injured in a fall from the second-story balcony at Ballyhoo Grill, 900 N Pinellas Ave., just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said.
A Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue official said she was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. The woman and her male friend had been in the restaurant for only a few minutes and not been served any food or beverages, said Debbie Fragale, the manager of Ballyhoo Grill.
Fragale said the woman had crawled over the top of the safety railing when she fell and landed in the parking lot below. The woman's name, condition and other details of the incident were not available Wednesday night.
