TAMPA - A call on a domestic dispute led Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies to make two arrests and recover more than $90,000 in cocaine this week.
Deputies arrived at Q-Zar Laser Tag, 7807 N Dale Mabry Highway Sunday after getting a report of a domestic fight between Edwardo E. Lorenzo and his girlfriend. After searching Lorenzo's home at 11606 Hidden Hollow Circle, detectives arrested the 18-year-old Lorenzo and charged him with possession of a stolen semiautomatic handgun and 39.3 grams (1.38 ounces) of cocaine.
Detectives then proceeded to 7701 Paris St., arresting Lorenzo's uncle, 49-year-old Hector Ludena of Lima, Peru, after searching the home and finding 1,321.8 grams (46.26 ounces) of cocaine. Authorities say Ludena brought the cocaine from Peru concealed inside of vegetables and other food.
A day later, detectives recovered an additional 411.8 grams (14.41 ounces) of cocaine and two stolen semiautomatic handguns.
